Poems and Reflections from a Journey of Awakening
A Map Written in Poems · PrologueChapter 1 · 9 poems
The Call to See
This chapter begins where all journeys do: with questions. These poems were written in moments when I first felt the veil thinning, when life itself seemed to whisper, There is more. I wasn’t yet walking fully in the mystical; I was standing at its edge, sensing the immensity of what I could not yet name.
The chapter’s opening words
In these pieces, I wrestle with identity…am I the builder or the sand, the dreamer or the dream? I learn that beauty is layered, that truth hums beneath everything, and that faith, once free, reveals itself as a constant presence rather than a distant hope. These poems invite the reader to pause and look again at the ordinary world: puddles become mirrors of the sky, roots trace maps of the divine, and even thought itself becomes a playground for wonder.
The poems in this chapter are keys. They do not explain; they invite. They are the early rumblings of awakening; the questions that open doors.
There is a moment when the familiar world feels strange, when the edges blur and you sense something vast pressing in. You do not yet have the words, only the stirring; a pull toward mystery, a yearning to see beyond the veil of ordinary life. These poems are from that time, when I first noticed whispers hidden in puddles, messages carved into leaves, and beauty humming beneath every stone. They are the questions that open the door.
